Move it or Lose it exercise classes are designed to improve strength, balance and flexibility - all without the need for floor work!

You can exercise seated or standing, at a pace that feels right for you and your body.

Classes focus on helping you build strength, improve balance, and feel more confident, all in a welcoming and supportive environment. Regular movement isn’t just great for your body it can also boost mental wellbeing and help you feel more connected.

About Move It or Lose It!

Move It or Lose It! was founded in 2010 by award-winning exercise instructor Julie Robinson, who has dedicated her career to inspiring thousands of people to stay active and independent in later life. What began as a passion has grown into a national network of instructors delivering specialist exercise classes to older adults every week.

Move It or Lose It! is on a mission to transform the health and wellbeing of older adults across the country. With the support of an expert advisory board, the programme champions active ageing — helping to reduce loneliness and social isolation, while encouraging people to move more, sit less and age well.

The FABS programme focuses on Flexibility, Aerobic fitness, Balance and Strength — with exercises that can be done seated or standing, making classes safe, effective and accessible for all abilities.

What do I need to bring to class?

  • Any medication you may need (especially inhalers)

  • A bottle of water

  • Comfortable clothes and flat, sensible shoes

  • A smile! 😊
